We are excited to announce the Call for Papers for the 25th Northeast Workshop in Empirical Political Science (NEWEPS) to be held at the University of Pennsylvania on Friday, September 26th. Please mark your calendars! As usual, we will begin with lunch, followed by three sessions (where all participants read papers in advance), and ending with a happy hour.

If you would like to submit a paper or research design, please complete this form by Friday, August 29. 

Only complete drafts of papers or research designs will be considered. To maintain transparency about the selection process, we will take into account average paper scores (blindly scored by NEWEPS conveners), whether the paper is or will be a job market paper, and prior NEWEPS participation (since we operate on a reciprocity model).

We will notify authors of paper selection on or before September 12 and circulate papers for attendees to read before the conference on September 19. Travel to Philadelphia will be covered for authors of selected papers and paper discussants, but not for other conference attendees. We will cover one night of accommodation for the authors of chosen papers who live too far to travel back home on the eve of September 26th
